A Curious Observation
Akbar noticed a fish swimming backward in a stream and asked, “Why does it not follow the flow?”

Birbal’s Reflection
He replied, “Because it knows its home lies behind. Sometimes, going against the flow is the only way to return.”

Akbar’s Thought
“Then let me not be afraid to walk the harder path,” he said.

Lesson to Be Learned
The path of bhakti often moves against worldly currents. It takes courage to renounce ease for eternal joy. But the soul that swims toward the Lord, though alone, will reach the shore of liberation.
