A Child’s Wonder
A young boy told Akbar he was counting stars. Amused, the emperor asked, “Can you finish?” The boy replied, “Not yet, but I’m still trying.”
Birbal’s Appreciation
He said, “Better to spend one’s life searching for truth than to live in ignorance, thinking everything is already known.”
Akbar’s Blessing
He rewarded the boy and encouraged his curiosity.
Lesson to Be Learned
The soul is naturally inquisitive. When directed toward the Supreme, this curiosity leads to enlightenment. Better to humbly seek the Lord forever than to claim knowledge without surrender.
