An Unusual Arrival
One day, a blind man came to the court seeking help. He stumbled while entering. Birbal ordered a servant to guide him in gently and assist him with dignity.

Akbar’s Appreciation
Later, Akbar asked Birbal, “Why show such respect to one who cannot see?” Birbal replied, “Because the Lord sees through all. This man may be blind, but the Lord is his witness. Serving him is serving the Lord.”

The King’s Realization
Akbar was touched. “Truly, you have eyes of devotion, Birbal.”

Lesson to Be Learned
Every living being is a part of Kṛṣṇa. By honoring even the lowly or handicapped, one pleases the Lord. Devotional service is not only in temples—it is also in compassion. As Śrīla Prabhupāda taught, “See Kṛṣṇa in everyone and act with kindness.”
