A poor shepherd once wandered into the court and impressed everyone with his answers. Akbar asked him, “What is your greatest wealth?”
The Shepherd’s Response
He bowed and said, “Contentment and remembrance of God.” Akbar nodded with respect. “Then you are richer than many kings.”
A Life of Simplicity
Though materially poor, the shepherd possessed wisdom born of faith and inner peace.
